You're awake in the wee hours of the morning with a brand-new, unhappy and surprisingly loud infant and you have no idea how the eff you're going to soothe this little person so you both can get some rest.

My first day of SAHMing was 10/01/13. Here's a run-down of what I did: stayed in my jammies for about 3 days, played with Caroline, let the laundry and the dishes pile up. Pretty boss.
"Buy a Christmas light organizer," I told them, "it'll save me the bottle of wine and Xanax I'll need to straighten them out." But nooo, no one listens to the baby.
Caroline's first Christmas! Done and done. Didn't realize until we were home in bed that I hadn't taken many pictures. Whoops.

Self-feeding is messy business, and I’m already tired of cleaning the 2′ radius around her chair multiple times per day. A bib, dish towel and cut-up trash bag are just the trick, thankyouverymuch. Estimation on how much time I have before she starts firing fists of food across the kitchen? 3 days, tops.
